Created by wounded warriors for other wounded warriors, WWP Alumni offers a range of programs and events designed for individuals' needs beyond their hospital stay. Many other WWP programs exist to help service members and their families immediately following injury and during their convalescence and rehabilitation. However, WWP Alumni offers the long-term support that extends beyond hospitalization. We are here to offer assistance, communication, and camaraderie for wounded warriors as they continue life beyond injury.

For WWP, there is a distinct difference between members and Alumni. Anyone can pay membership dues to an organization and call themselves a member. The term Alumni indicates a mutual shared experience and denotes that your place in an organization was earned. WWP Alumni have earned their place in our organization and share common bonds of sacrifice. Furthermore, we do not ask for member dues because those who are eligible for membership have already paid their dues on the battlefield.

Throughout the year, we offer a wide range of events and activities around the country designed just for Alumni. These activities include sporting events, educational sessions, and social events that give individuals a chance to spend time with other wounded warriors. Alumni can also participate in many WWP activities and events for newly injured service members.

An injured service member’s wounds are there for a lifetime…so is Wounded Warrior Project!

To become WWP Alumni you must have been injured (physical or psychological, stateside or deployed) on or after October 7, 2001(OEF). You may also be eligible for the program if you are the spouse or family member and joining on behalf of a warrior, and if you were injured before but participated in Operation Enduring Freedom.

If you meet the requirements above, you may click here to sign up and register for a WWP Account.

This website is specifically oriented toward Alumni programs, benefits, resources and community building, and many portions of the site require that you be a registered WWP Alumni member.
